About The Author
Jim O'Shaughnessy
Jim O’Shaughnessy built O’Shaughnessy Asset Management (OSAM) into a Wall Street powerhouse, managing billions of dollars before its successful acquisition. He is now focused on his latest venture, O’Shaughnessy Ventures (OSV), a creative investment firm supporting visionaries in business, technology, science, art, media, and literature.
Hailed as a “legendary investor” by Barron’s, Jim is the author of the New York Times bestseller What Works on Wall Street and three other influential books. His expertise includes quantitative analysis, portfolio management, and investment strategy.
In addition to his contributions to finance, Jim is a former chair of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the host of the popular Infinite Loops podcast. Known for his eclectic insights on topics ranging from philosophy to quantum mechanics, he is highly active on X (formerly Twitter) under the handle @jposhaughnessy.
Jim lives in Connecticut with his wife Melissa and enjoys the vibrant company of their three children and six grandchildren.
Vatsal Kaushik is an entrepreneur and engineer who works at the intersection of technology and culture. Since 2017, he has launched multiple ventures, including the startup WebSqill and the book recommendation platform The Antilibrary.
As a key member of O’Shaughnessy Ventures (OSV), Vatsal played an instrumental role in launching the company and its popular Infinite Loops podcast. He is currently building OSV’s publishing imprint, Infinite Books.
