“A rousin’, shantylike ditty, slightly shortened and enthusiastically illustrated … Sure to spur a raucous singalong” – Kirkus Reviews “A lively adaptation of the traditional Irish folk song ‘The Rattlin’ Bog’, this musical picturebook showcases the brilliant bog and the creatures that call it their home.” -Inis Magazine

The Speks is Ireland’s first traditional Irish music band for kids and their families. The six members, Quince, Naymon, Tommo, Pete, Ed, and Rafferty, live on a magical island off the coast of County Clare, Ireland. It’s called Glasses Island because everybody wears glasses there. The lads love singing, dancing, and playing music. Their motto is: “Sing along and sing aloud!”.
