About The Author
Jerome Hamon
French author Jer me Hamon studied at an American university and at business school before beginning his professional life in New York as a financial analyst. After two years, he left the field to travel the world. Back in France, Hamon held jobs in the movies, video games, and television, while also writing comic book and graphic novel scripts.
In 2008, he presented his first completed scripts in Angouleme, where he met artist Marc Van Straceele. The two collaborated on “Yokozuna,” a graphic novel on sumo wrestling in Japan. Hamon later worked with artist Antoine Carrion on “Nils,” a saga inspired by Nordic mythology and the works of Miyazaki. He then created “Emma & Capucine,” a series for younger readers centered on classical dance and hip-hop, and “Mitsuo,” alongside Cedric Babouche.
Lena Sayaphoum was born in Montpellier in 1989 and has drawn since childhood. Inspired by artists such as James Jean, Peter Chan, Craig Mullins, and Dice Tsutsumi, she developed her own style.
After studying 2D and 3D computer graphics, she worked for various studios as a concept artist, modeler, texture artist, and posing and shadowing artist, including on projects like “Asterix and Obelix- Mansion of the Gods” with Grid VFX.
In 2017, she began working with Jer me Hamon on “Emma & Capucine,” combining her passion for drawing and illustration with her love for dance.
