Jennifer L. Armentrout

Jennifer L. Armentrout is a #1 New York Times and #1 International Bestselling author who resides in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. When she is not actively writing, she enjoys reading, watching low-budget zombie films, procrastinating on her writing, and spending time with her husband, her Border Jack dog named Apollo, her Border Collie named Artemis, six discerning alpacas, two impolite goats, and five fluffy sheep.

In early 2015, Jennifer was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a group of rare genetic disorders that cause progressive degeneration of the retina, leading to vision loss and other complications. This diagnosis has fueled a passion for educating others about the different levels of blindness, a cause she champions alongside her writing, which she intends to pursue for as long as possible.

Jennifer’s aspiration to become an author began in algebra class, where she dedicated most of her time to writing short stories, a fact that may account for her less-than-stellar math grades. Her writing spans genres including young adult, paranormal, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary romance. She has been published by Tor, HarperCollins Avon and William Morrow, Entangled Teen and Brazen, Disney/Hyperion, Harlequin Teen, and Blue Box Press. Her Wicked series was recently adapted into a feature film by PassionFlix. Among her accolades, Jennifer received the 2020 Goodreads Choice Award in Romance for her adult fantasy novel, From Blood and Ash. She has also authored adult and new adult contemporary and paranormal romance novels under the pseudonym J. Lynn.
