About The Author
Jennifer Beck
Jennifer Beck is a former teacher and psychologist who has written numerous children’s books and is the recipient of many prizes. The Bantam and the Soldier won the Picture Book Category and the Book of the Year Award in the 1997 New Zealand Post Children’s Book Awards, and in 2006 she won the Children’s Choice Award with Nobody’s Dog. She lives in Auckland.
Lisa Allen is a freelance illustrator and designer. She also paints on commission and teaches art. She has three children and lives on a lifestyle block north of Auckland. Previous books include Anzac Day Parade and Mangrove.
