Jen Cowley

Based in Central West NSW, Australia, Jen Cowley is an award-winning journalist, an editor and the author of a number of books including two previous publications on behalf of communities in the Central Desert region of Australia. She has worked extensively in regional media and is an active member of a number of not-for-profit organisations through which she has been involved with humanitarian projects in Australia and abroad, including in Cambodia and India. Jen is experienced in working with remote regional communities, particularly in the fields of youth development, mental health promotion and loss and grief support. Her twin passions of community development and storytelling have taken her across Australia and the world in pursuit of a greater understanding and empathy between people of different cultures.
