What They're Saying

Critics Review

“This new edition weaves together some of the most difficult problems in religion and politics with some of the most brilliant minds. You will not find in this anthology a harmony of views, instead you will find the considered, internationally renowned wisdom of world experts sharpening each other—iron on iron—on some of the most fundamental questions about religion and politics in world affairs today. This new edition invites us not only to read and learn, but to think, to deliberate, and to wonder. It is an indispensable edition for any student in world affairs.”

Robert J. Joustra, Redeemer University, Canada

“Through two previous editions, Jeffrey Haynes’ Routledge Handbook of Religion and Politics proved to be a reliable and fascinating reference work. This third edition, like the two previous editions, is masterfully executed, covering the major religious faiths as well as a range of topics from religious-inspired terrorism to religion and civil society and the religious dimension in right-wing populism. No serious library should be without a copy of this third edition.”

Sabrina P. Ramet, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway
