Jean Menzies is an author, presenter, and ancient historian born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland. She holds a PhD in Classics and has dedicated over a decade to creating accessible online content focused on literature and history.
In 2020, she received the BAMB Breakthrough Author award for her debut children’s non-fiction book, Greek Myths: Meet the Heroes, Gods, and Monsters of Ancient Greece. Since then, she has written and delivered talks on history and myth for audiences of all ages. The Lady of the Lake is her debut novel.
