He has been a private consultant for rock stars such as Alex Van Halen, Steve Porcaro of Toto, Christopher Guest of Spinal Tap, and Wayne Kramer of MC5 fame. He has also assisted film and TV scorers like Heitor Perreira, Javier Navarette, Kevin Kiner, and Jeff Cardoni, among many others.
Jay Asher scored the TV series Zorro and has written songs that have been recorded by Julio Iglesias, Whitney Houston, and Donna Summer, among others. Along the way, he also became a Logic Pro guru.
