About The Author
Jaroslav Kuba
Jaroslav Kuba received his MSc in physical electronics at the Czech Technical University in Prague, in the Department of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering. He then completed his doctorate (Ph. D.) at the Université de Paris XI, France, specializing in physics of plasmas and lasers. Following his Ph. D. graduation, Dr. Kuba worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, USA. In 2006, Dr. Kuba was appointed vice-president of the Czech Technical University in Prague and an associate professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Later on, he served as deputy-minister for Education in the Czech government, responsible for EU funds. Dr. Kuba has taught biomedical students for more than ten years, as well as students from other departments, in a number of physics and biophysics courses.
