Follyfoot was based on the novel Cobbler's Dream, written by Monica Dickens, great-granddaughter of novelist Charles Dickens, and was a rescue centre for tired, unwanted and ill-treated horses. This book, written by Jane Royston -- Horse Manager, takes a fascinating look behind the scenes of the Yorkshire Television drama series, and includes over 130 stunning colour photographs, some of them rare and previously unseen. About the Author

Born in Yorkshire, Jane Royston began working for Yorkshire Television in the late 1960's, and was Horse Manager on Follyfoot for four years. A keen horsewoman all her life, she has competed in Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage.
