James P. Cowan
James P. Cowan is President of Cowan Acoustical Associates in Newtown, PA. He has managed hundreds of acoustical projects nationwide, including the writing of New York City’s environmental noise assessment guidelines in 1992. During his career he has provided consulting services to public agencies, architects, engineers, industrial personnel, and attorneys in all areas of acoustic design and noise control. He holds a master’s degree in acoustics and is a board-certified noise control engineer. Mr. Cowan holds a patent for his design of a loudspeaker horn, and is a registered expert in acoustics and noise control with the Technical Advisory Service for Attorneys.
