Jacob Grimm
Jacob Grimm
Jacob Grimm (1785-1863) was a German philologist, jurist, and mythologist, and one half of the renowned Brothers Grimm. He was also a linguist and the discoverer of “Grimm’s Law.” Alongside his brother Wilhelm, he wrote many of the West’s most well-known fairy tales. Jacob was born in Hanau, in the Holy Roman Empire, and was a graduate of the University of Marburg.
Wilhelm Grimm
Wilhelm Grimm (1786-1859) was a German author and cultural researcher, and one half of the Grimm Brothers. Together with his brother Jacob, he authored some of the most popular and well-known European fairy tales. Wilhelm was born in Hanau, in the Holy Roman Empire, and was also a graduate of the University of Marburg.
