About The Author

Jackie Pullinger

Jackie Pullinger

In 1966, Jackie Pullinger went to Hong Kong on a one-way ticket, arriving with no contacts and only $100 HK. She lived and worked in Kowloon’s notorious ‘Walled City’, witnessing the transformative power of God in the lives of the marginalized. The ministry expanded, and by 1981, Jackie established the St Stephen’s Society, creating rehabilitation homes for recovering drug addicts, sex workers, and gang members.

The charity’s work has received recognition from the Hong Kong government, who donated land for the rehabilitation homes. Thousands of individuals in Hong Kong and beyond have experienced miraculous life changes.

Jackie’s story is chronicled in her book, Chasing the Dragon. She continues to reside in Hong Kong, leading the St Stephen’s Society.
