About The Author
Jack Petrash
Jack Petrash was a class teacher at the Washington Waldorf School where he taught four classes from first to eighth grade. He is also the director of the Nova Institute, an organization that has worked with teachers and parents to provide a deeper understanding of children. Jack is the author of Understanding Waldorf Education: Teaching from the Inside Out and two parenting books, Covering Home and Navigating the Terrain of Childhood. Jack’s pieces have also been featured in the Washington Post and on NPR. His TED Talk, “Educating Children for the Journey,” has been viewed by thousands worldwide.
