Mosquito Victory is the final volume of the autobiographical trilogy which includes Wings Over Georgia and Lancaster Target. The anvil-top ahead of me was brilliantly white--whiter than a prince's pillow-case, or Caribbean teeth, or angel's wings. Pittam and I were flying at 25,000 feet, and it hung above us, dazzling in the April sun. Extract from Mosquito Victory.

Sequel to Lancaster Target follows Jack Curries RAF life to the end of World War II. The compelling autobiographical sequel to Lancaster Target graphically and humorously describes all aspects of life as a WWII RAF bomber pilot on 'rest'. Mess life and antics intermingle with Jack's real task of instructing trainees on the four-engined Halifax bomber. Following his return to operational duties as a glider pilot, Jack was later posted to the elite Pathfinder force flying Mosquitoes of 1409 Weather Flight as a 'Weather Spy' where his weather signals provided vital information for the advancing bomber stream. An illuminating portrait of RAF life.
Currie gained his wings in the USA, and flew Lancasters on his first operational tour, and later, after a spell of duty as a flying instructor, went back on a second tour. He was awarded the DFC in 1944, and was flying Mosquitoes with the Pathfinder Force when the war in Europe ended.
