About The Author

Howard Mackie

Howard Mackie began his career at Marvel in the late 1980s as an editor before transitioning to writing. He is known for his work on the popular Ghost Rider series in the 1990s, where he introduced the Danny Ketch alter ego, and for his extensive contributions to Spider-Man and X-Men titles during that decade.

Erik Larsen is celebrated for his tenure on Amazing Spider-Man, where he chronicled the character’s cosmic-powered and powerless phases. His other Marvel credits include Defenders, Fantastic Four, Nova, and Wolverine. At DC Comics, he has worked on Doom Patrol, Outsiders, and Teen Titans. Larsen is also the acclaimed creator of Savage Dragon for Image Comics, which he co-founded and where he served as publisher for four years.

John Romita Jr. is a renowned comic artist, following in the footsteps of his legendary father. His influential runs on Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man, and Daredevil solidified his artistic reputation. His work on Wolverine and World War Hulk is considered some of the most dynamic comic art of the 21st century. He collaborated with writer Neil Gaiman on Eternals and with Mark Millar on the creator-owned series Kick-Ass. Romita Jr. returned to Amazing Spider-Man for the “Brand New Day” storylines “New Ways To Die” and “Character Assassination.” He also contributed to the relaunch of Avengers and Captain America, and the crossover event Avengers vs. X-Men. For DC Comics, he drew characters like Superman, Batman, and the Suicide Squad.

Brazilian artist Joe Bennett made his debut with Marvel’s Ravage 2099. He went on to illustrate Image Comics’ Supreme before returning to Marvel for Nova, X-51, and The Crew. Bennett has also contributed to Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man, and Thor, and has a significant body of work at DC Comics, including 52. His work on Immortal Hulk garnered widespread critical acclaim.
