About The Author

Hope Daniels

Hope Daniels is a proud ‘care leaver in recovery’. She spent her childhood in care due to her parents’ alcoholism. At thirty, she began intensive therapy to address childhood trauma and a dependency issue. Under her real name, Jenny Molloy, she is a guest lecturer and was instrumental in developing the ‘Care Leavers’ Charter’ in October 2012. Government bodies consult her on child care and fostering. Her aim is to inspire hope in care leavers and professionals, emphasizing the inherent abilities of all care leavers.

Morag Livingstone is an experienced documentary photographer and filmmaker with a background in Business Studies and 15 years in the corporate sector. She holds a Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London University of the Arts, where she now lectures. Her films explore themes of poverty, low income, and young people’s mental health for the development sector, created across continents. Having lived in Zambia, Morag shares a geographical connection with her namesake, Dr. Livingstone, and is distantly related to his wife, Mary Moffat.
