Henri J.M. Nouwen
Henri J.M. Nouwen (1932-1996)
Henri J.M. Nouwen was a Catholic priest who dedicated his life to ministry and writing. He taught at various theological institutions and universities in his native Netherlands and in the United States.
In his later years, Nouwen lived and worked at L’Arche Daybreak Community in Toronto, Canada. This community provided a home for individuals with mental and physical disabilities, and Nouwen served there as both a teacher and a minister.
He authored numerous books exploring themes of the spiritual life, including well-known titles such as Reaching Out, The Wounded Healer, and The Return of the Prodigal Son.
