About The Author
Hede
Crystal Hede is an experienced Health and Physical Education teacher and currently the Director of Teaching and Innovation at The Glennie School in Toowoomba. She has held leadership positions, including Acting Deputy Principal (Head of Curriculum), Head of Operations, and Head of Department (HPE). Her contributions include establishing an online syllabus support network for Queensland teachers, running professional development sessions, writing mock examinations for Quality Assessment Tasks Australia, and presenting at state conferences. Crystal is also a QCAA Assessor – Endorsement (PE).
Kate Russell has taught Health and Physical Education in Queensland for 14 years and is currently Head of Health and Physical Education at The Glennie School in Toowoomba. As a district review panellist, Kate has contributed to the development of the Physical Education syllabus. Kate hosts an online Senior Physical Education network for Queensland teachers, supporting them through consultation, advice, and resource sharing. She has developed mock examinations and resources for the PE external exam and presented at ACHPER state conferences.
Ron Weatherby has been a Health and Physical Education teacher for over 30 years, including as Head of Department at Lockyer District State High. Ron has been involved with Senior Physical Education curriculum development since 1995, acting as a panellist, district review panel chair and state member. Ron was also a member of the review panel for the new Senior PE Syllabus and presented at workshops and developing resources for its implementation in 2019.
