Hassall Graham & Karacaoglu Girol
Girol Karacaoglu BA, MBA (Bogazici), PhD (Minnesota) is the Head of School of Government at Victoria University of Wellington since January 2019. Before joining the University, he worked at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand for 26 years. His last position at the Bank was Head of Economics. He also served as a member of Treasury’s Macroeconomic Advisory Panel and as an adjunct professor of economics at Victoria University of Wellington. His research interests and publications are in the areas of macroeconomics, monetary policy, financial stability, productivity, and open economy issues.
