About the Author

Hani Muhsen is an Associate Professor at the Mechatronics and AI Department at the German Jordanian University. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Chemnitz, Germany, and has an immense experience in electrical engineering and renewable energy systems. Dr. Muhsen has published more than 25 papers in international journals and has worked on several projects related to the digital twin, peer-to-peer trading, microgrid modeling and optimization, and hydrogen technology.

Adib Allaham is an Associate Professor at the Mathematics, Physics, and Electrical Engineering Department at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. He holds a Ph.D. in Control Engineering from the University of Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, and has over fifteen years of research experience. He has published over 30 papers in international journals on renewable energy solutions.

Mohammed Al-Mahmodi is a former research assistant at the Smart GridLab at the German Jordanian University in Amman, Jordan. Eng. Al-Mahmodi holds a M.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering/Renewable energy at the University of Jordan. He worked in research for about five years, at Yarmouk University and the German Jordanian University/ SmartGrid lab. He has published 10 journal articles on green energy topics.

Asma Alkhraibat is a research assistant at Smart Grid Lab at German Jordanian University in Amman, Jordan. She holds a M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from German Jordanian University. She is interested in Microgrid applications, renewable energy resources, real-time implementation, energy management, and fault restoration. She has published 9 journal and conference articles on green energy topics.

Rashed Tarawneh is a research assistant at the SmartGrid Lab at the German Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman, Jordan. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Environmental and Renewable Energy Engineering from GJU. He has published 4 journal articles on green energy topics.

Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli is the President of the German Jordanian University and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Mechatronics Engineering department. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan and a habilitation in microfluidics from the Technische Universität Braunschweig. Prof. Al-Halhouli has published more than 70 papers in international Journals and has received several awards, including the GJU Distinguished Researcher Award, Jordan (2014), Best Poster Award at Georgetown University, USA (2009), and the Cray Award for Microtechnology, Germany (2007).
