About The Author
Gwyn Lloyd Jones
Dr Gwyn Lloyd Jones is apractising architect based in London and Wales. He gained his doctorate, ‘FrankLloyd Wright beyond America’, at Westminster University, where he also is avisiting lecturer. Gwyn is particularly interested in developing new narrativesfor exploring architecture and has spoken about Wright at the Royal Instituteof British Architects (RIBA) and the Welsh National Assembly. In 2009 he wasthe recipient of the Giles Worsley Travel Fellowship to the British School inRome where he undertook research into Frank Lloyd Wright’s influence in Italy.His architectural Diploma dissertation at Oxford Brookes University entitled‘12 Part Narrative’ followed Wright’s yearly migration between Taliesin Northand Taliesin West. The dissertation was the inaugural winner of the RIBAPresident’s Dissertation Medal and he subsequently wrote and presented atelevision programme entitled Y Daith yw’r Stori (The Journey is theStory) for S4C (Welsh Channel 4).
