About The Author
Gudrun Limbrick
Gudrun holds a Masters in Research and Social Policy from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelors degree from the University of Oxford. She began her career researching the experiences and needs of hard-to-reach communities. Through her work with a city council commission investigating former children’s homes, she interviewed many individuals who had spent their childhoods in care. Witnessing the profound impact of growing up in residential care, she now focuses on making information publicly available to help those who spent their childhoods in children’s homes to understand, remember, and perhaps come to terms with their experiences. She has written several books on memories of children’s homes.
