About The Author
Grant Barrett
American linguist and dictionary editor Grant Barrett is the author of The Official Dictionary of Unofficial English (2006) and The Oxford Dictionary of American Political Slang (2003), and has edited dozens of dictionaries. He is also the co-host and co-producer of the public radio show A Way with Words. He lives in San Diego, California, with his wife and son.
