GJ Mann was born in East Anglia in the United Kingdom in the 1950’s. As a child a major interest was in the natural world. As time progressed, part of his development was in listening to and understanding people. Qualifying as a Social Worker, his early work was with children separated from their parents. His career led him to Mental Health Services when psychiatric hospitals were closing, then developing and managing Inner City community services.
