Critics Review
Leading Beyond Crisis: The Five Pillars of Transformative Resilient Leadership is a masterful guide to that rare ability to lead through and beyond crisis, building stronger people and organizations along the way. The ability to develop a culture of resilience has never been more essential to the people and organizations that leaders serve. Everly and Athey teach us how to lead in the most effective of ways. This book is essential reading for all interested in leadership. Prepare to be inspired to lead in a strong, bold, and honorable way. This is a transformative read!–Victor Welzant, PsyD, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc., Ellicott City, MD, United StatesAs if to reinforce the adage “necessity is the mother of invention,” one of the pioneers in his field, Dr. Everly links three crucial topics of our time (effective leadership, resilience, and crisis management) in a practical, easy-to-read book that should be studied by all who have been tasked to keep us safe and prospering. For their sake and ours, I hope Leading Beyond Crisis will set the new standard for how our leaders, no matter what their domain, are measured.–Alan M. Langlieb, MD, MPH, MBA, Coeditor, Mental Health and Productivity in the Workplace; Medical Director, Inpatient Psychiatry, Medstar Georgetown University Hospital; Associate Professor, Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, DC, United States
