About The Author
George Papp
Mort Weisinger is one of the fathers of the comics industry. Early in his career, and with no more direction than to “dream up new characters”, Mort designed some of the most iconic characters of all time including Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Johnny Quick. Then, after a short career in the army during WW II, Weisinger resumed his post as the editor for SUPERMAN and BATMAN titles. His tenure oversaw the creation of even more integral concepts and characters like Supergirl, Krypto, the Phantom Zone, the bottle city of Kandor and a variety of types of kryptonite.
