About the Author
Gehan de Silva Wijeyeratne is one of Sri Lanka'smost high-profile wildlife personalities. Gehan graduated in Civil Engineeringfrom Imperial College London, a global top ten university. He went on to qualifyas a Chartered Accountant in London with Deloittes and become a risk managementspecialist in banking. He is passionate about Sri Lanka's natural history andhas authored and photographed over 400 articles for national and international newspapersand magazines on Sri Lankan biodiversity, travel and business topics. His 25books include A Photographic Guide to theWildlife of Sri Lanka and numerous Naturalist’s Guides, pocket IDguides on specific wildlife, all published by John Beaufoy Publishing.
