About The Author

Gavin Spickett

Gavin Spickett has been a Consultant Clinical Immunologist & Allergist in Newcastle upon Tyne since 1991, after training in Oxford, Ipswich, and Northwick Park. He has, until recently, been a general physician participating in unselected medical admissions. He has been responsible for the development of the Regional Immunology Laboratory and clinical services for the North-East and Cumbria. He has a particular clinical interest in primary immune deficiencies, allergic and autoimmune diseases, and chronic fatigue, as well as quality standards in clinical and laboratory immunology.
