About The Author

Gary Aubin

Gary Aubin is an author, qualified teacher, and SENCO. His work with the Education Endowment Foundation has supported hundreds of schools in adopting evidence-informed practices for children with SEND. He also works with Whole Education, bringing together SENDCOs and MAT SEND Leaders from across England to share effective strategies that help more pupils with SEND thrive in education. Gary is involved with various organizations focused on teacher CPD and postgraduate study. He writes the SENDMattersUK blog and is a governor of his children’s primary school.

Stephen Hull is a former employee of the British Council in the Education Society Department and ex-manager of Connecting Classrooms. Stephen is now a full-time parent to his autistic son, supporting him in all aspects of his development. He has firsthand experience working with local authorities, nurseries, and schools to ensure his son’s wellbeing and education are fully supported.
