Sarah Churchwell
Sarah Churchwell is Professor in American Literature and Chair of Public Understanding of the Humanities at the School of Advanced Study, University of London. She is the author of several books on American literature and cultural history, and her journalism has been published internationally.
An experienced broadcaster, she has frequently contributed to radio, television, and documentary film projects, and has judged many literary prizes, including the Booker Prize. She co-won the 2015 Eccles British Library Writer’s Award and was longlisted for the Orwell Prize for Journalism in 2021.
