Description

Hunter, a humble pâtissier in the twelfth-century city of Pampelune, Spain, takes on the grisly task of mortician under the monarchial co-regency of a perverse King Pedro and enigmatic King John, and unwittingly uncovers a mysterious epidemic and evidence of Source de Jouvence, the fountain of youth. Against a backdrop of mouthwatering recipes and lavish feasts, Hunter, and a band of rebels set out to uncover the truth behind Source de Jouvence and in the process uncover a secret that will pit the Holy Roman Empire and the surrounding nations of Europe into a battle of survival. With culinary delicacies, hidden secrets, and a tapestry of amorous heroes and heroines, "Hunger of a Nation" unfolds as a captivating tale that transcends borders and epochs. This immersive tale seamlessly entwines the allure of adventure and the echoes of historical fiction, inviting you to unravel not just the quest for truth but the profound mysteries that shape the destiny of a kingdom.
