About The Author

Eileen Hofer

Eileen Hofer is an independent filmmaker and journalist. Of Turkish-Lebanese origin on her mother’s side and Swiss on her father’s side, she studied at the Faculty of Letters at the University of Geneva, and earned a diploma in cinema history in 2001. She directed her first short film, Racines in 2008, which was presented in more than 120 festivals, and won more than 10 awards. Building on her success, Hofer continued with five short films and two feature films, He Was a Giant with Brown Eyes and the critically acclaimed Horizontes. In 2017, she exhibited a series of videos for Chaplin’s World, the Charlie Chaplin museum. Hofer is the author of the comic strip Alicia, Prima Ballerina Assoluta, published in 2021. When she is not on a plane, a train, or on the seas, she lives in Geneva.

Christopher Longé, who illustrates under the pen name Christopher, was born in Middlesbrough, England, to an English mother and a French father, and raised in Aix-en-Provence. In his 25-year career, he has published more than 50 comic strips. Well-known in Europe for his stories about everyday life, such as Les Filles and Les Colocataires, Christopher also draws inspiration from rock music for series such as Love Song. He has illustrated several biographies, including Woodstock Forever and Love Me Please (a biography of Janis Joplin). For years, Christopher has peppered his comics with references to Audrey Hepburn; now, he brings the extraordinary story of this icon to life.
