About the Author

Dr. Eileen Morrison is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where she earned her doctorate in counseling and administration. She also holds a MPH from the University of Tennessee. She has developed and taught courses in health administration ethics to both undergraduate and graduate students and has been active in educating professionals through workshops and journal articles.' Currently, she is a professor of health administration at Texas State University in San Marcos Texas.

She is the program director of the Health Services Administration program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She also coordinates the newest program offering to the department of Health Sciences- the Population Health Certificate program. Rachel teaches a broad range of healthcare courses in both curricula's including, Strategic Management in Health Care, Health Care Finance, Economics in Health Care and Essentials of Population Health. Before moving to academia, Rachel worked in the healthcare finance sector holding supervisory and managerial positions. Over the past 10 years she has maximized her healthcare knowledge and understanding by researching, writing, and presenting on a variety of healthcare topics. She will continue to be a life-long learner and educator.'
