Critic Reviews

If I had to be abandoned on a desert island with an actor, I can think of no better co-castaway than Ed. His book is tremendous - particularly when he writes about the early days of punk. He was there, man! He lived it, and his storytelling is vivid and exciting -- Alex Cox
Always one of the most original voices to come out of the whole punk maelstrom, chivalric Ted Ed Tudor-Pole's memoirs are a feast for lovers of London and all its multiple musical flowerings. This is an account of a rake's progress through London's low- to highlife to match Quentin Crisp's The Naked Civil Servant or Frank Norman's The Guntz. Fellow outsider Ed possesses original wit and intuitive insight... enthralling -- Cathi Unsworth, author of Season of the Witch: The Book of Goth and co-author of Defying Gravity: Jordan's Story
An engaging tale, brightly told -- Uncut
