About The Author

Edmund S. Cibas

Dr. Cibas holds a medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed a residency in pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a fellowship in cytopathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He is board-certified in anatomic pathology and cytopathology. He has been recognized for his work as an educator with an Excellence in Education Award from the American Society of Cytopathology. Dr. Ducatman is president of the Association of Pathology Chairs and sits on international, national, state and organizational committees. She also worked at Beth Israel Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Ducatman was a lieutenant commander for the U.S. Public Health Service from 1992-1996 and a lieutenant commander for the U.S. Navy from 1983-1986.
