About the Author

Dr Duncan Forsyth joined Addenbrooke's Hospital in 1990 after completing specialist training in Bristol and Exeter. He is an examiner and question writer for the Diploma in Geriatric Medicine and was Editor, CME Journal Geriatric Medicine, RILA Publications: 2004-14. He has championed the engagement of geriatricians in dementia care through the development of a special interest group within the BGS and through chairing and promulgatin educational intiatives. Inlate 2009 with colleagues in Liaison Psychiatry for Older People and senior management he developed a ward model of care for older people with dementia and delirium. In 2016 he advised the MalaysianGeriatrics Society on developing national delirium guidelines, published 2017. In 2018 he was appointed Adjunct Professor in the School of Healthcare and Medical Sciences at Sunway University. Dr Stephen Wallis is a consultant geriatrician based at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Wallis completed his specialist training in geriatric and general medicine at the Eastern Region in 2011 and was appointed to a consultant post at Addenbrooke'sat that time. He developed clinical interests in medical liaison, interface medicine and syncope. More recently he has been pursuing an interest in medical management and recently was appointed to therole of Divisional Director, having been specialty lead for Medicine for the Elderly for the previous three years.
