Critics Review
“By blending personal anecdotes with science and medicine, Dr. Narula takes the reader from the clinic to the classroom to the living room of real life. The result is an accessible and important read. But what makes The Healing Power of Resilience especially compelling is its broad relevance. While rooted in cardiology, its lessons extend far beyond heart disease, from cancer diagnoses, autoimmune conditions, recovery from surgery, and even everyday stressors.” — Dr. Jennifer Ashton, Ajenda by Dr. Jen Ashton“Helpful, positive, and potentially life changing.” — Booklist“Dr. Tara Narula’s message in these pages will change lives. She weaves together cutting-edge research, original reporting, and her own personal story to prove why resilience is the quality that allows us to overcome health challenges. Then she shows us how to build it. She is the kind of doctor, advocate, and friend I wish patients had when they first get a diagnosis. With this book, she’ll be on your team through whatever life brings.” — Arianna Huffington, founder and CEO of Thrive Global“At a time when stress has become overwhelming in people’s lives, Dr. Narula’s prescription for well-being and resilience could not be more timely or essential.
