Critics Review

Dr. Mala Cunningham has so impressively presented in her easily readable and informative book the actions individuals can take to heal and impact, and even reverse, physical, mental, and emotional concerns and illnesses based on the latest neuroscience studies. This book is therefore for everyone, and I enthusiastically recommend it! – Sandra Amrita McLanahan, M.D. Founder and Director Integral Health Center; Integrative Health Physician; International Lecturer; and Author of Surgery and Its Alternatives and Take a Deep Breath.Dr Cunningham’s book on the Neuro-Yoga-Psychology model adds to the growing body of scientific literature on this topic. Her unique approach conceptualizes processes that have a clear outcome to enhance health and wellbeing. With a focus on the vagus nerve and beautiful depictions of yoga poses, practitioners and science enthusiasts at any level will appreciate the well-sourced practical recommendations. I have been a colleague of hers for 20 years at the University of Virgina and she is an admired and dedicated teacher. Mala introduced me to many of these ideas which have changed my life.
