Jenny Russell (Author)

Jenny Russell lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with her husband, two teenage daughters, and a miniature schnauzer called Basil. She studied architecture in Dundee, where she became deeply interested in how children interact with buildings and what those buildings might communicate to them. Jenny spent 15 years fostering and educating the next generation of architects and now leads the education and learning department for RIBA.

Paul Boston (Illustrator)

Paul studied illustration and sequential design at Brighton University. His inspirations include 1950s children’s books, antique maps and diagrams, 17th-century engravings, gothic art, and Japanese prints, among others. Paul creates all his artwork using his trusty ballpoint pen, which he then scans and enhances on his computer. His charming depictions of people and places have been commissioned for global advertising campaigns, publishing projects, and editorial work.
