Critics Review

“This wonderful book will encourage and inspire as you read so many wonderful stories of the Lord healing miraculously. It is biblical, uplifting, practical and bursting with hope: may we all pray for healing far more often as a result of reading it.” – Gavin Calver, CEO, The Evangelical Alliance“It has been a joy to read this book! Not only is it based on Chloe’s comprehensive research across Wales, but also on clear and relevant teaching from the Bible. And she writes as a consistent practitioner of healing in Jesus’ name, so she quite literally knows her subject through extensive personal experience. Having myself taught these things for many years, I found reading Chloe’s book really heartwarming and also challenging (we all need to go for so much more!) - and I am excited to be living in times in which we are seeing more and more of the Lord’s ministry being fruitfully practised in his Church today. ‘So I unreservedly recommend this book - read it!” – The Revd Bruce Collins, former overseer of New Wine International Networks, speaker, author and founder of Just Earth“I can’t think of anyone better placed to write a book on healing than Dr Chloe Swart. I have seen first-hand the way she leads and prays in this area with deep wisdom, gentle authority and real confidence in the power of Jesus to transform lives. Through her practical experience and academic rigour, and through the impartation and instruction of a great teacher, Chloe will help many, many people grow in their expectation and experience of healing in everyday life.” – Stephen Foster, Rector of St Aldates, Oxford“Chloe Swart is a remarkable young leader. She is National Director of Alpha UK and on the leadership team of her local church, Cornerstone, in Swansea. In this book she combines her rigorous theological training with her extensive practical experience in the area of healing. This book will be such a great resource for everyone: faith building, encouraging and challenging, it’s a really helpful guide. 605 Everyday Miracles will instruct and inspire anyone who reads it. I heartily recommend it.” – Nicky and Pippa Gumbel, pioneers of Alpha“This excellent book is a much-needed injection of faith. The stories of healing crammed into its pages cannot help but provide a fresh vision and a fresh hope to see people healed in Jesus’ name today! The brilliance of the book is its accessibility. Too often, when it comes to healing we can get stuck in theory and theology, but reading this book will inspire you to get up, walk out the door and have a go!” – Tim and Rachel Hughes, Senior Pastors, Gas Street Church“In Jesus’ ministry and the Acts of the Apostles, salvation was often accompanied by a demonstration of the power of God. As I study the pathways of faith in the UK today, this trend appears time and time again. What Chloe Swart has done in this remarkable book is to put story-shaped flesh on the statistical bones of these experiences. But 605 Everyday Miracles is not merely a relentless catalogue of supernatural stories, it grounds healing in a robust theological and biblical framework, and gives applicable wisdom to us all. It is hope-infused, intensely practical and deeply inspirational. Let it raise your faith and equip your hands.” – Phil Knox, evangelist and missiologist, Evangelical Alliance, and author of Good News People“I am going to recommend this book widely, to my friends, to church leaders and to teachers of kingdom theology. It is excellent. Among its virtues are how accessible and easy it is to read, how practical it is and how it will inspire faith and risk-taking by Christians. And it is theologically sound, accurately describing the biblical practice of “power healing” and the use of the gifts of the Spirit in evangelism. It is a classic case of “show and tell”. Do it, then explain what you do. Finally, knowing it is based on PhD research submitted to a credible university adds to its weight.” – Derek Morphew PhD, theological consultant for the Vineyard movement and author of Breakthrough“605 Everyday Miracles is an inspiring combination of biblical teaching, contemporary stories and practical tools. Chloe draws on in-depth research in Wales to show how ordinary people in everyday circumstances can follow in the master’s footsteps. Whether you are a sceptic or a devout believer, whether you share Chloe’s theology or differ in places, this book will stir your faith and equip you to pray for healing with boldness and sensitivity.” – Dr Andrew Ollerton, author of God’s Book: An honest look at the Bible’s 7 toughest topics“Chloe Swart’s book is a wonderful resource for anyone wanting to grow in faith to pray for healing in everyday situations. Recounting story after story of people healed by the power of God, Chloe demonstrates that those who intentionally create a culture of prayer for healing are so much more likely to see people healed in Jesus’ name. With testimony, research data and practical guidance, this book will help the Church to step out in greater faith to pray for the sick and to see people made well.” – Dr Lucy Peppiatt, Principal, Westminster Theological Centre“I first met Chloe in her first year of university as a remarkable younger leader and evangelist. I have seen her life be her message for years of dedicated service to Jesus and his Church. Today, she continues to be a woman of great faith, deep character and infectious hope. It is no surprise that her debut book would be brimming with stories of miraculous healing from across the nation of Wales. I feel personally equipped and encouraged afresh by this work to once again take hold of the power Jesus has given us as his people, to pray for the sick and see healing come in Jesus’ name. I hope every church reads this book together and then lives their own stories as a community, inspired by the works and ways of God recorded in these pages.” – Miriam Swanson, National Director, Fusion USA“This is a timely and practical guide on healing that encourages and inspires ordinary, everyday Jesus followers to step out and pray for healing. It’s jam-packed full of stories and key lessons that demystify, empower and equip God’s Church to make praying for healing a normal and natural part of life.” – Ness Wilson, Pioneer UK Leader
