Dorothy Freeman Gilstrap
Dorothy Freeman Gilstrap, a granddaughter of Dorothy Baker, embarked on this, her first book as a voyage of discovery: I wanted to know my grandmother.” She made her career in television before moving to the island of Barbados in 1981 as a Bahá’í pioneer. Later she pioneered to Ireland where her son was born. Since returning to the United States, she has continued to write and raise a family. She currently resides in Arlington, Texas, with her husband and son.
