What They're Saying

Critics Review

“There are leadership and self-improvement books written by academicians, and there are those written by warriors. The former write from research, the latter from experience. There is much one can learn from research, but the lessons learned via challenging experiences are imprinted forever. They are life-changing. I have known and worked with Don for decades and he is a man who has tested the limits in so many endeavors… and succeeded. Whether you are looking for a similar path or want to excel at any endeavor, Don will lead you through the process with a lot less pain.”
—Enrique “Ric” Prado, retired Chief of Operations at CIA’s Counterterrorist Center and bestselling author of Black Ops

“In The Navy SEAL Playbook, my friend Don Mann has done what few authors can: turn elite experience into something you can actually use on a Monday morning. This isn’t theory or hype—it’s a field manual for winning when things get hard, fast, and uncertain. If you lead people, build teams, or carry responsibility that keeps you awake at night, this book belongs on your desk. Read it once for inspiration, then keep it close for execution.”
—Jeff Tiegs, LTC, retired U.S. Army Special Forces, Delta Force Operator and President of Skull Games Solutions

“Don Mann has lived and continues to live by the lessons he puts forth in The Navy SEAL Playbook. For anyone seeking success, be it in civilian or military life, he provides valuable lessons on how to accomplish it. Having known and worked with Don for many years, I can assure you he epitomizes the ideals set forth in this book.”
—Jeff Emde, author and retired CIA Operations Officer

“There are moments in life when we encounter ideas so powerful that they shift the way we see ourselves and the world around us. The Navy SEAL Playbook is one of those rare works. Rooted in the uncompromising discipline and resilience of the U.S. Navy SEALs, it offers not just strategies, but a way of living—a framework for achieving excellence in every area of life, whether in career, relationships, or health.”
—Naomi Ray Fucci, U.S. Army Captain Veteran

“What can the average person learn from a SEAL? Everything, as it turns out. Don has managed to distill the essence of the SEAL ethos into principles that can help any of us navigate a difficult career change, commit to a fitness goal, or simply be a better partner and parent. For fifty years, I have seen Don Mann apply these values, whether it was under fire, during a tough period of transition, or simply planning a weekend camping trip. His integrity is his anchor, and his tenacity is a force of nature. He is not just writing about principles, he is writing about the way he lives.”
—Dr. Walter C. Rustmann, Col, FS CDR 147 Medical Group, USAF, Retired
