About The Author
Dominique Morisseau
Dominique Morisseau is an African-American playwright and actress from Detroit. She gained a BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan and began writing plays while in college. She has stated in interviews that the lack of available roles inspired her to start writing. She worked as a Teaching Artist with City University of New York’s Creative Arts Team and received a Playwrights of New York (PoNY) fellowship at the Lark Play Development Center in 2012.
