I had so much fun reading and sharing this story. We laughed out loud at the antics as the children chase the sock Carol, the cat, brings home. In their quest to both find the sock, which keeps getting away from them, they meet a cast of quirky and colorful characters who are their neighbors. You never know what interesting and fun people live around you unless you get out there, walk around, and meet them. I'm not sure if that was author's message, but I sure kept thinking about that as I read the story.
