Deepak Kumar

Deepak Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUA&T), Pantnagar, India. His research interests include surface and groundwater remediation, soil and water conservation technologies, artificial intelligence, and the application of remote sensing in agriculture. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Water Resource Engineering from IIT Delhi and an MTech in Agricultural Systems and Management from IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Kumar has also gained post-doctoral research and teaching experience at the Department of Hydrology, IIT Roorkee, and served as guest faculty at Assam University. He was also an Adjunct Fellow at Western Sydney University, Australia.

His publications have appeared in international journals such as the Journal of Contaminant Hydrology, Neurocomputing, Journal of Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Water Resource Management, Journal of Water and Land Development, and Journal of the Geological Society of India. He has also reviewed articles for Taylor & Francis and other notable publishing houses. Dr. Kumar has supervised numerous MTech and BTech students and has delivered invited lectures at institutions including Western Sydney University, IIT Roorkee, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, and Assam University. He has also conducted various workshops, training programs, and international programs, and is an active coordinator for IIRS and ISRO programs.

Anil Kumar is a Professor of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India. He served as the head of the department for six years and is an active member of national and international professional societies. With over 40 years of experience in teaching, research, and extension, his work focuses on soil and water conservation, hydrology and hydrologic modeling, watershed planning and management, the rejuvenation of natural water springs, and drought assessment and mitigation for livelihood sustainability.

He has conducted extensive field studies on surface runoff harvesting, the rejuvenation of natural water springs using biological and mechanical measures, vegetative measures for landslide control, and the use of soil amendments to reduce runoff, sediment, and nutrient loss from sloped lands in the Himalayan region. Professor Kumar has taught a wide range of courses to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students and has authored over 140 publications, including more than 90 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, 19 book chapters, and 45 conference proceedings.

Shekhar Singh holds a PhD in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from GBPUAT Pantnagar, India. His primary research areas encompass climate change, climate extremes, hydrological modeling, and land and water management. Dr. Singh previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, where his research focused on water policy and governance in India. He has authored and co-authored numerous research papers and book chapters published in reputable Science Citation Index (SCI) and Scopus-indexed journals. Dr. Singh has also presented his research at national and international conferences and serves as a reviewer for journals including the Journal of Hydrology, Discover Water, Theoretical and Applied Climatology, and Water Resources Management.
