David A. Fanella is the vice president of Engineering at the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute. He possesses over 35 years of experience in the design of a wide variety of buildings and other structures.
Dr. Fanella has authored numerous technical publications, including the fifth edition of a book on structural load determination for McGraw Hill. He is an active member of several ACI and ASCE/SEI Committees and holds Fellow status in ASCE, SEI, and ACI.
Dr. Fanella is a licensed structural engineer and a licensed professional engineer in Illinois. He is a former board member and past president of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois.
