About The Author
David A. Wilson
David Alan Wilson was born in 1954 and educated at Greenshaw High School. He then worked in the wine trade before voluntarily joining the Territorial Army in April 1974, serving in C Squadron (The Sharpshooters), The Royal Yeomanry.
He has lived in France since 1977, where his passion for military history and modelling truly flourished. He was mentored by Teddy Suren of Willie Figures, who taught him sculpting and the intricacies of research organization. His primary areas of interest are the armies of ancien regime Europe and Napoleonic Scandinavia.
David retired from full-time work in June 2019 to dedicate more time to historical research and writing.
