Description

"Jesus Had a Little Lamb" by Dana House is an uplifting and beautifully crafted poem that invites readers into a journey of faith, trust, and divine love. The story begins with a little lamb, chosen by the Good Shepherd, who leaves the comfort of its familiar pasture to explore unknown lands. With each step, the lamb faces new challenges-dry deserts, stormy seas, and dark nights-that test its courage and faith. Yet, through every trial, the Shepherd is there, revealing His many names and attributes-Jehovah Shalom, Emmanuel, Jehovah Rapha-and proving His love and care in every situation. The story captures the lamb's initial excitement, moments of fear and doubt, and ultimate realization of the Shepherd's unwavering presence and love. The journey becomes a powerful allegory for the Christian walk, reminding readers that even in the darkest and most difficult times, the Shepherd is always near, guiding and protecting.Inspired by personal loss and dedicated to loved ones who encouraged the pursuit of this work, "Jesus Had a Little Lamb" is more than just a poem; it is a celebration of God's faithfulness and a call to trust Him through every season of life. Perfect for anyone seeking comfort, encouragement, and a deeper understanding of God's love and guidance.

About the Author

Dana House, a dynamic educator, ministry leader, and speaker from Judsonia, Arkansas, has dedicated her life to serving others through faith and education. With a Master's Degree in Family Life Education from Harding University, Dana has spent the last 13 years leading youth and children's outreach ministries in Augusta, Arkansas with her husband, Matt, their four children-Shalom, Malachi, Julia, and Bauer-and godson, Judah, Brick, Fabien and Brandan. Together, they have touched the lives of hundreds of children, starting with services held in their homes and garages, and expanding to a traveling children's ministry that shares the gospel through creative programs and puppet shows.Dana's journey into writing was profoundly influenced by the miraculous survival of her youngest child, Bauer, who was born with multiple undiagnosed heart defects. This harrowing experience of battling for his life in the hospital for six months inspired Dana to share her story with others. Her passion for teaching and making complex topics accessible to everyone is evident in her work, from developing a teen risk prevention program she began at 19 to directing community plays that bring people together.
